Why I'm standing
I couldn't sit by when we're in the midst of a climate emergency and inequality is rising. I thought about who I could ask to stand and then realised that if I was serious about helping make the changes needed in my area I should put my money where my mouth is and get out there myself. I love living in the Coromandel and I want it to be here for others to enjoy.
About me
I run a couple of local businesses that support employment in the area and I'm a volunteer at several social environmental groups so I'm seeing first hand the impact of everything on our locals. I have a particular set of skills – and I will use my experience in business, social and environmental matters to ensure we meet the needs of the people within the boundaries of the planet.
My priorities
- End poverty by supporting the proposed income guarantee and fair tax system policies.
- Prepare our communities' resilience and adaption for what's ahead in the ongoing climate emergency.
- Build a public transport network that meets the needs of this diverse electorate.
