Why I'm standing

I've been honoured to serve for nine years as the local Member of Parliament for our community. As the mother of two children, I live locally in the Panmure-Ōtāhuhu electorate with my husband, teenage daughters and elderly parents. My commitment to social justice, passion for warm housing, ensuring better health and educational outcomes and fairness for all inspired me to join Labour and enter politics to contribute to making a difference in people's lives.

About me

My life and my career have been dedicated to serving families and children and making a positive difference in people's lives. I have extensive experience in health, education and policy, and originally trained in law. I'm also dedicated to our local communities, and serve as a volunteer and organize and lead various community initiatives.

My priorities
  1. Continue advocating for more ways of addressing the cost of living issues for all our local people.
  2. Continue advocating for more warm, dry homes to be built by Government in our Panmure-Ōtāhuhu area.
  3. Ensure that crime is addressed, more support is provided for victims & effective prevention of crime.
