Why I'm standing

My why… I first put my hand up for the Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party (ALCP) in 2010. As a mother and grandma, I felt I needed to be part of a change for cannabis law reform. Thirteen years later I'm now a great grandma still needing to be part of the change for a legal and regulated, safe market. Giving all the mokopuna freedom of choice, the truth, justice, 'legal regulated for safe personal use'.

About me

I was born in Auckland 1959. Two adult children, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Live in Mangamuka. Have worked in retail, food courts, administration in resource centre, Te Kohanga Reo in Pawarenga, qualified hairdresser. Stall holder at the Kaitaia Saturday market. Co-leader ALCP.

My priorities
  1. Embrace the hemp industry for jobs and the environment. Drugs for personal use are a health issue.
  2. Expunge personal use convictions. Employment, law and order, housing and health.
  3. Reform the Misuse of Drugs Act. Select committee, take all drugs out of the criminal courts.
