Ashburton District Council

Western Ward
The Ashburton District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of nine councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). two councillors will be elected from the Western ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I have been involved in advocacy and policy for many years at a local, national and international level so I have good skills in this area. I have been involved and serviced on several sports and community groups, I enjoy helping and serving my community. I'm passionate and practical and live in my electorate.

My priorities
  1. Ensure a safe roading network for the community.
  2. Spend rates as wisely as possible.
  3. Ensure good water infrastructure and safe drinking water for urban areas.
