Why I'm standing

Hastings has been moving forwards and upwards and I'm for keeping that momentum going. Our country is being hammered by the most regressive government we've ever had. Health, education, social, housing, and emergency services are all being cut to the bone and worker's rights are under attack. This is having a massive impact on our communities, and the last thing we need is an austerity narrative in our council.

About me

I am a Hastings father, worker, union member, and I stand strong for this nation's founding documents. I won't be bullied by vested interests - I will do what's right for our community and for our descendants.

My priorities
  1. Implement a community wealth building plan to keep cash in local economy and kids in school.
  2. Advocate for a stronger democracy with a smaller council supported by citizens' assemblies.
  3. Improve community's health by promoting living wages, decent work, and longer, healthier, happier lives.
