Why I'm standing

I'm standing for council because I care deeply about our community and want to be a strong, approachable voice for common-sense, future-ready decisions. I'm committed to honouring our rural values, respecting ratepayer money, and supporting a thriving, resilient future for our people and land. Hawke's Bay is an incredible place to live and raise a family, and I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and represent you with integrity, energy, and real-world perspective.

About me

I'm a proud local, well‑grounded in the community, raising my family in the Kahuranaki Ward. Not a career politician, I understand the real challenges our region faces because I live them too. With proven experience in business, leadership, and community initiatives, I am personable, transparent, and dependable under pressure. I bring practical skills, collaborative thinking, and a "can-do" attitude to deliver balanced, future-focused decisions that reflect our community's values.

My priorities
  1. Allocate ratepayers' money wisely, with a focus on core services to keep the community thriving.
  2. Grow the local economy by backing primary industries and infrastructure to create jobs and growth.
  3. Protect fertile land and water by guiding growth to less productive areas to safeguard resources.
