Why I'm standing

I care deeply about Waihi and our district. Strong representation is key to good decision-making, and over three Council terms I've worked hard to build skills, networks, and experience to serve as effectively as I can. I listen to our community and keep people informed about decisions and how they can be involved. With dedication and experience, I'm committed to helping our communities navigate rising costs and the significant changes facing local government.

About me

We've raised our family in Waihi and truly love being part of this community. With a business and corporate background, I've approached my nine years on Council as a full-time commitment. I'm passionate about helping Waihi thrive and am an active member of local groups like Grey Power, the Lions Club of Waihi (as Waihi College Leo Advisor), and the Waihi Community Forum. I've also served on Council committees and am a trained Hearings Commissioner.

My priorities
  1. Manage rising costs responsibly while keeping rates fair and council spending transparent.
  2. Use experience to navigate several changes coming our way, including the RMA and water reforms.
  3. Commit to good, transparent community representation for the residents of Waihi and Hauraki.
