Why I'm standing

I've really enjoyed my first term on council. I'm a Mangawhai local of 21 years who believes in giving back to our local communities. I'm standing again as there are definitely more changes to be made within council to benefit our ratepayers. Strengthening KDC's accountability and performance in financial management and core service delivery is crucial. I'm driven, dedicated and determined to keep working hard to deliver real results for you – our ratepayers.

About me

The most beneficial skill I can offer to ratepayers is my three-year council experience and knowledge of process. I believe council should be run for the benefit of the ratepayers. I've volunteered on many local committees. I proudly served as Mangawhai Matters secretary for two years and was actively involved in fighting our community's causes. I'm approachable, practical, proactive and fully motivated to continue helping ratepayers and community groups secure better outcomes from the KDC.

My priorities
  1. Respect ratepayers' money and cut KDC consultant spend, using commonsense and practical solutions.
  2. Deliver core service with sensible focus on roading, maintenance, drainage and water-tabling.
  3. Manage growth while voting against two plan changes due to concerns around amenity and infrastructure pressures.
