Why I'm standing

I believe I can offer strong representation for the people of Otamatea. I will listen to concerns and follow up. I have good financial sense and commonsense, both of which I feel are important for ensuring ratepayers are getting value for rates paid.

About me

I care about our community, my family are fifth generation in Kaipara. I have a can-do practical attitude. I have sound financial experience having run my own successful business for over 20 years. I have the mindset that council is there to work for the ratepayers. I work well with people from all backgrounds which I believe is a key to success.

My priorities
  1. Ensure ratepayers money is not being wasted and ensure we are getting bang for our buck.
  2. Push to keep rates down and prevent people being pushed out due to unaffordable rates.
  3. Ensure the essentials are being done right and communication to and from council is effective.
