Feilding General Ward
The Manawatū District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 11 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). five councillors will be elected from the Feilding ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I want to continue the existing good work of this council and to ensure that our community benefits with value for money and an enhanced semi-rural lifestyle which we cannot take for granted.

About me

Forty years a business and community leader in the Manawatū. Former Rotarian, Lions, Cancer Society volunteer. Current president Esplanade Railway Society, Manawatū Philatelic Society, Woodlands Residents, member Citizens Advice Bureau, Makino Probus Club, St Johns Church. A lifetime of making things happen in our community and a passion for adding value to the lives of others.

My priorities
  1. Govern responsibly as elected representative by researching, connecting, asking questions and following up.
  2. Enhance quality of life for families and older persons including safety, environment and roading.
  3. Support community organisations including Feilding Proms, Coachhouse Museum, Feilding Steam and Friday market.
