Focus on footpath maintenance in the next long-term plan as reductions in Government funding will increase pressure on rates for upgrades.
Prioritise rural roads and sealing for safety and practicality. Improve footpaths and drains in these areas.
Improve roading and pedestrian access in Ngongotaha by having NZTA work with Rotorua District Council for better cohesion to reduce speed and improve safety.
Enhance animal control services with timely response and promote responsible dog ownership on animal control and dog licensing.
Expand curbside recycling to include more materials and reduce landfill waste in rubbish and recycling.
Upgrade Three Waters infrastructure for drinking water supply, wastewater and sewerage to ensure safe, reliable service and environmental protection.
Advocate for Rotorua district with upcoming water reform Local Water Done Well, ensuring sustainable solutions.
Cut landfill use to reduce Rotorua's carbon footprint and protect the environment.
Ensure compliance with Local Water Done Well reforms while safeguarding lakes and waterways.
