Why I'm standing
Wainuiomata deserves people who advocate for them, who push for change and people who are committed to do the best by all. I believe I am able to do so, with integrity, mana and passion. I am running because I want to help support our community, and use my skills to give back to Wainuiomata.
About me
I have spent 10 years working in education, early childhood and Māori immersion spaces. I bring with me a values-based approach, and use my lived experiences to guide my decisions and choices. I am a strong advocate for rangatahi, tamariki and our kaumatua, and understand that these are key skills needed at the community board level. I have experience in governance, public speaking, and advocacy. I am committed to working with everyone in our community.
My priorities
- Ensure a visible and approachable community board that works with all members of the community.
- Support local initiatives that bring vibrancy, events and life to Wainuiomata.
- Support growth and infrastructure that meets the needs of Wainuiomata residents.
