Why I'm standing

Wainuiomata deserves people who advocate for them, who push for change and people who are committed to do the best by all. I believe I am able to do so, with integrity, mana and passion. I am running because I want to help support our community, and use my skills to give back to Wainuiomata.

About me

I have spent 10 years working in education, early childhood and Māori immersion spaces. I bring with me a values-based approach, and use my lived experiences to guide my decisions and choices. I am a strong advocate for rangatahi, tamariki and our kaumatua, and understand that these are key skills needed at the community board level. I have experience in governance, public speaking, and advocacy. I am committed to working with everyone in our community.

My priorities
  1. Ensure a visible and approachable community board that works with all members of the community.
  2. Support local initiatives that bring vibrancy, events and life to Wainuiomata.
  3. Support growth and infrastructure that meets the needs of Wainuiomata residents.
