Why I'm standing

I'm energetic and totally dedicated to driving Waitaki forward. Over the past three years as a Waitaki District Councillor, I've gained good governance skills, strong connections in the sector, and a clear understanding of what's ahead. With experience to offer, but also a fresh approach, I'm ready to keep building momentum. If re-elected, I'll prioritise transparency, good communication and engagement, and fiscally-responsible and future-focused decision-making to ensure a thriving future for Waitaki.

About me

I first moved to Ōamaru almost 15 years ago, and it's now home. I live on the South Hill with my partner Jak, and work in marketing for a regional sports trust. My background is in journalism, communications, and central government. I'm actively involved in the community through a wide range of activities - from sport to performing arts - and I'm passionate about representing a youthful perspective and developing creative solutions to challenges.

My priorities
  1. Be visible and advocate the views and needs of the district at a local, regional and national level.
  2. Promote civics education to strengthen community engagement in local government.
  3. Remove council barriers to help local businesses focus on growth and innovation.
