Why I'm standing
I'm an independent, liberal councillor who works across the political spectrum to champion issues that deliver value for Wellingtonians, and take pride in responding to the many emails and phone calls I receive. Council faces important decisions that will either make or break our city. I'm an advocate for affordable rates, core services delivered well, sound investment in our water and waste infrastructure, and common sense at the council table!
About me
I was born and raised in central Wellington, worked as a journalist, with my first job as an Evening Post reporter, before 20 years working in London's financial markets, then returning to Wellington to establish my boutique government relations and communications agency. I love Wellington, particularly how walkable the city is, accessibility to world-class cultural events, and our beautiful harbour.
My priorities
- Reduce rates. I have voted against the unsustainable increases of 47% since 2022 and 25% by 2028.
- Focus on core infrastructure by fixing broken water pipes rather than nice-to-haves.
- Create a safer CBD by pushing for more laneway upgrades and initiating action on anti-social behaviour.
