Why I'm standing
I see a need in council for someone with experience in construction to provide insight on policy related to the subject, as Invercargill is currently suffering a housing shortage. I also see this as an opportunity to make sure our city is going in the right direction for the next generation as a father of young kids. I love Invercargill and want to see it promoted as the great place that it is.
About me
I aim to represent a large section of the community that is currently underrepresented: young working people with families. I believe the council is mostly made up of older demographics; however, that is only one part of our city. The young working people keep the city going, and those with families are raising the future of the city. I work hard and invest in this city as a builder and want to see it grow and thrive.
My priorities
- Keep rates increases low and affordable for residents.
- Encourage building and development to grow the city and increase the number of ratepayers.
- Promote the city as a great place to live, work and raise a family, encouraging people to move here.
