Why I'm standing

I believe deeply in mokopuna decisions – making choices today that will safeguard the environment, economy and wellbeing of our future generations in Bay of Islands Whangaroa.

About me

After years of tireless mahi for Bay of Islands Whangaroa and Te Tai Tokerau, I'm stepping forward to stand. This decision comes after much encouragement from whānau, hapū, community leaders, business owners and environmental advocates. I've lived and breathed this community all my life, and I know the challenges we face: from flooding and rural water access, to invasive pests threatening our marine ecosystems, to the need for stronger, more resilient infrastructure.

My priorities
  1. Reduce invasive pests threatening Bay of Islands Whangaroa marine ecosystems.
  2. Address severe weather impacts caused by climate change for people in Bay of Islands Whangaroa.
  3. Work with local businesses developing business opportunities for Bay of Islands Whangaroa residents.
