Why I'm standing
I am a values-driven politician who envisions Dunedin as a truly progressive city—one that protects its most vulnerable while also preparing for a brighter future. I have been a strong and vocal advocate for the full completion of the new Dunedin Hospital and will not rest until it is delivered as promised. I am passionate about protecting our unique wildlife and natural environment—taonga to us all. Climate change mitigation and adaptation, particularly for South Dunedin, must remain a top priority.
About me
I am an experienced city councillor, a justice of the peace, an accredited resource management commissioner and trustee of both the Dunedin Wildlife Hospital and Predator Free Dunedin. Over 18 years as an elected representative (12 years on the West Harbour Community Board and six years on council), I have demonstrated a deep understanding of and proven commitment to our community. I offer experience, inclusiveness and visionary thinking.
My priorities
- Build the hospital promised with no more excuses on the Dunedin Hospital build.
- Focus locally on the cost of living crisis.
- Continue supporting policies that protect unique wildlife and natural environment.
