Local government is a foundational part of our democracy. But local democracy isn’t just about holding elections every three years – it’s about the day-to-day ways people have their say in the decisions that affect us all.

Ensure the community board maintains a close connection with local residents' groups. For example, I personally attend three of the four local groups.
Improve public engagement by holding regular community forums and ensuring residents’ voices are heard in decision making.
Promote transparency by making council processes, decisions and spending easier for residents to access and understand.
Ensure fair wages and good working conditions for council employees so services are delivered by a well-supported workforce.
