Fix Waitapu Splash as it is the only road connection north of Tākaka; this is a reasonably simple job and discussions with NZTA are ongoing.
Lobby the government to reinstate meaningful subsidies to allow reintroduction of public transport over the hill.
Support the GB Cycle and Walkways Society with building, but not financing, the Tākaka–Collingwood Trail.
Promote low-emission public transport options to reduce debt, cut emissions and improve community wellbeing by 2025.
Expand safe walking and cycling paths to lower car use, support health and reduce road maintenance costs by 2025.
Prioritise eco-friendly transport infrastructure investments to balance economic growth with planetary limits by 2025.
