I believe that it is possible for the institution of parliament to enact legislation that would enable Kiwis to have their needs met, acknowledging that we have no control over what other countries do. I affirm that parliament ought to be making laws that ensure this country is living within its means: which means acknowledging ecological limits – the boundaries of the planet Earth system; as well as economical limits.
