Why I'm standing

To make a difference in our beautiful city. The crazy spending and rates increases were also a driver. We live in a beautiful place, but I have seen many silly decisions made. We need to aspire for our children, family, friends, businesses and tourists to find being here memorable, exciting, and inviting. Let's draw people here with our outdoors and become New Zealand's nature capital.

About me

I am a long term resident, and I am raising a family in Upper Hutt. I am fully involved in our community, I work at a local school and have my ear to the ground and hear what is important to our locals. I am on various boards in governance. I manage many staff, and have been for decades. I am a good reader, practical, and a clear communicator. I am ethical, approachable and friendly.

My priorities
  1. Limit spending and get debt under control.
  2. Create a city vision and aspiration to be something special to see and visit as the nature capital.
  3. Lobby for interchanges at Silverstream and Riverstone.
