Why I'm standing

As a current councillor, I have voiced community concerns and I want to do more to make the council work for you. Upper Hutt has been my home for 35 years and I want to protect the rivers and environment that make it so unique. I want our city to be an affordable place to live with free activities and a sense of belonging for people at every stage of life.

About me

I have experience in the running of community groups and fundraising events and understand the challenges in keeping these going. I entertain in rest homes with my guitar and value the joy that music and singing brings.

My priorities
  1. Follow through on cost reductions, a balanced budget and the 2026 rates review.
  2. Continue to advocate for NZTA funding for road improvements and pedestrian crossing maintenance.
  3. Keep Upper Hutt voices heard as the Government's water and RMA reforms continue.
